At the end of August, we had the honour to be invited to the Mongolian Youth Federation headquarters in Ulaanbaatar. A day prior to that, the NGFL was even represented at the Bokh (Mongolian Wrestling) tournament outside of Ulaanbaatar, which was not open to the public due to corona regulations. The president of the NGFL, Mathieu, was invited to sit inside the festival tent with the elders of the oldest organization in Mongolia which happened to celebrate its 100th birthday at the time of the visit. Besides hosting the embassy of South Korea in Mongolia and other important diplomatic relations, the Mongolian Youth Federation is well connected with all the artists, musicians and sportsmen of the country and will be a strong and reliable partner on our quest to bring Eurasia closer together. To our surprise, we were even gifted a customized yurt by their General Secretary! To top it all off, we were also invited to meet with the representatives of the Mongolian Ministry of Culture, as we founded the Mongolia-Luxembourg Friendship Association as the Mongolian sister organization of the NGFL! Through this NGO, we managed to welcome famous Mongolian singer Altanjargal, Batmunkh and our Cultural Ambassador Mendbayar on our project and have thus gained a permanent representation in Mongolia. At the ministry, our vision and goals were well received by the Minister and her assistants and we were able to secure their support for the future. We are looking forward to building upon this partnership!
